New
releases from Meshuggah are usually much anticipated, because the
Swedish band is constantly experimenting and pushing the envelope. Their
last CD, 2005's Catch Thirty Three was one long song divided up into
sections.
ObZen is more traditional in terms of structure, but with
Meshuggah there's always something unique. The songs have mind-bendingly
complex riffs and technicality along with unusual time signatures and

Long Way to Heaven is the fifth studio album by the Canadian heavy
metal band Helix. This album was their third for Capitol Records, and
there were bigger expectations from the band after the success of the
previous Walkin' the Razor's Edge (featuring the hit "Rock You"). The
first single was "Deep Cuts the Knife", a co-write between Paul Hackman
and Bob Halligan, Jr. The song received heavy airplay in the U.S.,
gaining "double breaker" status, and in Canada was added to heavy video
play on MuchMusic. Q107 in Toronto had the song riding at #1 for several

Sting in the Tail is the seventeenth studio
album by German heavy metal band Scorpions. It was released on March 19,
2010 in Europe (March 14 in Greece[1]) and was released on March 23 in
North America.[2] It will likely be their last studio album before
retirement.[3]
The album will have a duet featuring the Finnish
symphonic metal singer Tarja Turunen, in the song "The Good Die
Young".[4]
A tentative title for the album was Humanity: Hour
II, however this was eventually scrapped.

Andrew W.K. has a mission--to dirty up rock & roll, literally
and figuratively. And while that may seem a sizeable task for one man to
shoulder, consider that the Michigan-reared screamer has devoted the
whole of his debut album I Get Wet to ecstatic celebration of the id.
It's a heck of an idea, and it's brought W.K. the fawning adoration of
the British press who, after enduring years of ambient art-rock inspired
by paranoia about technology (you know who we m

Helix survived two member changes from their first album, Breaking
Loose, to this one, their second. Mike Uzelac (bass) and Leo Niebudek
(drums) came aboard, filling some difficult shoes. Previous drummer
Brian Doener was considered one of Canada's finest, and original
bassist Keith Zurbrigg had a much loved stage persona that included
wearing a tux every night.
The music doesn't suffer much for it.
The band still managed to come up with enough great material to fill an
album that stands up t

People who talk in these days about swiss rock music, they talk about Gotthard or still about the old veterans Krokus.
The meanwhile greyhaired guys publish after four years and the good
last album Hellraiser their newest output with the mystical title
Hoodoo. Are this older swiss people still kickin' ass? The new
classical but rounded up line up with Marc Storace, Chris von Rohr,
Fernando von Arb, Frank Steady and Mark Kohler is promising that a lot.
We start directly into the album with „Drive it in". Good guitar
