Let's
get one thing straight: Back For Another Taste was Helix' best album.
It's marred by both tragedy and triumph, but musically it has not been
topped by this band.
First, the tragedy. After 16 years in Helix,
"Dr." Brent Doerner departed midway through the making of this album.
Although he'd come back briefly for the next album, this was the real
end of his tenure in Helix. His absense was never quite filled. Second
and most importantly, also after 16 years in Helix, Paul

UFO's
Obsession was to be their last studio record with star guitarist
Michael Schenker. It did indeed contain lots of prime metal cuts, but
some of the material ultimately fell flat. "Only You Can Rock Me" kicks
off the album with a fun and carefree feel, while the funky "Pack It Up
(And Go)" contains some John Bonham-like drumming courtesy of Andy
Parker. The opening momentum is carried on through the slow Zeppelin
groove of "Ain't No Baby," but soon the band hits the ski

While
a very different supporting cast joins Michael Schenker on Unforgiven,
this 1999 collection of hard-rocking numbers and swirling guitar solos
echoes the return to classic M.S.G. form first accomplished on 1996's
Written in the Sand. As the guitarist proved decades ago, there's no
mystical chemistry, no mysteriously unifying combination of talents
necessary for Schenker to kick out the old-school heavy metal jams with
verve and style. Great songwriting?

Description :
"Nothing is gonna come
between us and our fans, and it will be death before dishonour - this is
Iron Fucking Maiden!" That was Bruce Dickinson, speaking out under a
hail of eggs and detritus at last years's Ozzfest isn San Bernardino,
California, during one of the most controversial and infamous incidents
in recent rock history. That, my friends, is a frontman.
While
Maiden have respectfully distanced themselves

If you felt "Black Rain" was a little
lacking song wise, then this opus blows away any doubt, a massive return
to form, first suggested in "Down To Earth" but now fully realized.
This is perhaps the most melodic offerings from Ozzy since "Bark At the
Moon" and "The Ultimate Sin". There is something for everyone here and
no one should feel out in the cold. There is also a definate turn away
from the downtuned guitar style of Zakk Wylde and towards a more
classical metal guitar style fro

Headbanging?
These guys practically invented it, or at least fueled it from the
start. More than iron, more than steel, more than lead, Judas Priest ARE
metal. And that's why MTV's Headbangers Blog is bringing you the
exclusive first listen to Nostradamus, a double album of pure
ferociousness from the razor-sharp metal gods. While you must wait until
June 17 to buy Nostradamus, Rob Halford, K.K. Downing, Glenn Tipton and
the rest of the boys insist that you hear the whole thing, right now,
only on The
