GENRE: ROCK FORMAT: EAC.APE.CUE. SIZE: 506MB. YEAR: 1991 Quote RIP BY: RAT I had heard some of the Stones' songs on the radio and my dad had played them around me, but I never really thought them to be that great. I received 'Flashpoint' as a gift and thought I'd give it a whirl. It totally turned me on to the Stones and now I'm a die-hard fanatic. This album is essential to the CD collection of ANY and EVERY music fan. The energy is amazing, notably on 'Rock and a Hard Place.' This album contains excellent versions of such classics as 'Jumpin' Jack Flash'(my favorite song of all-time), 'Satisfaction,' and 'Paint it black.' 'Flashpoint' is undoubtedly the best live compilation the group has ever released, and definitely in the realm of their top five albums.

Artist: Mick Jagger Album: Goddess In The Doorway Released: 2001 Genre: Hard Rock Format: eac/ape,365mb Quote Mick Jagger had struggled with launching his solo career for over 15 years when he unleashed Goddess in the Doorway. Although he was one of the most famous men on earth, he couldn't separate himself from the Stones no matter how hard he tried, and he tried so hard that many of his struggles appeared desperate. Whereas the Stones incorporated reggae, disco, and punk effortlessly into their core sound, Jagger's attempts to sound contemporary came across as him desperately flailing about to stay hip. This was the curse of his solo career, from the outset on She's the Boss, through the generally strong Primitive Cool, which was sunk when he decided to perform aerobics on "Let's Work." Jagger briefly shed t

# Audio CD: Gillan & Glover - Accidentally On Purpose # Original Release Date: 1988 # Number of Discs: 1 # Format: Eac-Flac # Label: Virgin # Gebre: Classic Rock Quote
The whole career of Ian Gillan is very different and diverse, as throughout the years with Episode Six, Deep Purple, Sabbath and solo albums he managed (somehow) to embrace very different styles. Yet one thing constant in his work is quality. Whether he sings jazz rock or his signature hard and heavy, his music is always great and unpredictable. While Deep Purple was in the middle of "House of Blue Light" concert tours, settling their ongoing internal battles and routine studio recordings, Gilland and Glover decided to take a little time off and head back to the studio. The material they had in mind was a hu

Quote I am a huge DP fan and have been for many years, with that being said this does not sound like DP at all but really brings out Ian's personality more than anything I have ever heard. My brother has never been a DP fan and did not even know who Ian Gillan was but I let him listen to it yesterday and he loves it.Too bad radio will not give other people a chance to hear this one it is great and if given the publicity I believe would be a huge hit ,it is deffinately my fave of all of Gillan's non DP material and better than anything he has done in DP in the last few years ,not downing the DP stuff because they still rock after 40 years but this is the best cd I have bough

During
breaks in the tour, Twentieth Century was recorded. It was a
fragmentary process, spread across various studios and sessions as the
individual members often refused to work together, but nonetheless
successful. Released in February 1984, it reached No. 1 upon release
and included the songs "Saturday Night" and "Flame Trees", both of
which remain radio staples. "Flame Trees", co-written by Prestwich and
