Eclipse (sometimes stylized as ECL1P53) is the fourteenth studio album by American rock band Journey, and the second with Filipino lead singer Arnel Pineda.[1] Penned by Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain with contributions from Arnel Pineda. It was released in the United States and Canada on May 24, 2011 exclusively at Walmart, internationally on May 27, 2011, the United Kingdom on May 30, 2011 and Japan on June 1, 2011. After following 2008's highly successful Revelation album, Eclipse only managed to sell 21,400 copies in the United States in its debut week, taking #13 on Billboard 200. The album showed an 80% decrease from 2008's Revelation, which sold 105,000 units in its debut week. Eclipse marks Journey's second straight top 20 album with current lead singer Arnel Pineda. Eclipse did have a strong sales debut outside of the United States, charting in the top 40 album charts in 5 different countries including: Japan #18, the United Kingdom #33, Germany #14, Sweden and Switzerland #24.
