Hans-Joachim Rotzsch gives us a Bach that delights the senses and a fresh and homogenous choral sound - bringing the golden age of Bach interpretation to life once more. 

These discs are to be recommended for their veracity, not in the slightest nuance are they subject to prevailing market pressures, arising as it were from their true purpose, that of the divine service. And it is here that we hear an echo of the tradition descending from Bach himself and still influencing the performances of motets and cantatas in Leipzig’s principal churches, St. Thomas and St. Nicolai, as nowhere else.
